My friend Amy and I drink wine! Maybe too much when we are together! She introduced me to the fabulous Michigan Vineyards. Before that I just couldn't stand the taste. Now I love them, because I have had "good" wine. Not expensive, but good.
I couldn't let the day go by without making a card for it. And Stampin' Up! has made it easy with these new stamp sets!
Let me tell you more about my card. Somethings that I picked are a bit obvious...Merry Merlot for my card stock base and the drink in the glass. And I knew it HAD to be an empty bottle, because of our love of wine! How to get there? I tried 4 or 5 different colors for the bottle and ended up with Evening Evergreen which I stamped off first. I stamped the wine glass in Smoky Slate, for a soft glass look. I goofed up the "drip" in my opinion...it adds some charm!
Cutting Dimensions:
- Merry Merlot CS 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- Evening Evergreen CS 3 1/4" x 4"
- Basic White CS 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"; 5 1/4" x 4"; 3 3/4" x 3"
Fold and burnish your card base with your Bone Folder. With the largest Scalloped Contour dies, cut the largest Basic White mat. Glue to card front of card base.
Center Evening Evergreen to center of white mat with Multipurpose Glue.
Let's stamp!
I added the drip to the bottle and don't really care for it! I used the bottom of the "beer foam" for it if you do. It needs some work, in my opinion!
I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to card front. I love the texture it gives it!
The inside was fairly simple. Another bottle and the words" Let's get into the Spirit". I went ahead and wrote into it, before I took a picture.
