Happy Monday Dreamers! Welcome Back to a Not So Simple Monday! For our new friends, we take the card from Simple Sunday Live in the Dreamer's Stamping Klub and step it up. Make it Not So Simple! Click here to see the video. Today just got away from me and I am a little late on this. So let's take a look at Sunday's cards..
In these two cards, I used the exact measurements, the same DSP and the same stamp sets. (And I got a little crazy and added sequins to the top one) This was a study on how different colors change the way we see things. I think they are very obviously different.
Here is the cutting guide for them:
Card Base - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".
White Mat - 5 1/4" x 4" (still using up my Whisper White stash!0
Small mats - 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" (cut 3)
Small White - 2 3/8" x 1 5/8"
I challenged my Dreamers to make their own inspiration to this layout. If you would like to join the fun, post your card here. I try to do a Monday Mojo challenge most weeks.
So now for the change. I wanted to use the Drybrush Background stamp on the first cards, using the colors in the DSP. The colors didn't match well enough. But as a solid color on this background? I personally love it! What do you think?
A few changes to the card are seen by the subtraction of the middle mat and the addition of a Calypso Coral mat. It's size is 5" x 3 3/4" and is topped by the stamped background measuring 4 7/8" x 3 5/8". I stamped and colored the 3 embellishments before adding to card for a bit of texture. The seahorse is popped with Stampin' dimensionals to make him more of the centerpiece. All the supplies I used on all cards are listed below, as usual.
I am branching out in the KlubHouse by adding our 2nd monthly Pammie Kay's Paper Pumpkin Party on the 1st Thursday of each month. Feel free to join us as we zoom together to make the cards in the kit and 3 alternatives that I picked just for this party. Free kits have been mailed to my subscribers. You are welcome to join and follow along with your own supplies or next month get the kit for $10. More information will be in next weeks event!
This Wednesday I will be kicking off my Coffee and Cards Live. I know, not a creative name, but it was better than 'Tea and Thee' or "Hump Day Havoc"! So I will go with the original thought for now! My Dream is for it to become a weekly class held at a local coffee shop, when it is safe to gather! So join me...I am not even sure what it will be like. We all be surprised together!
Well Klub, it is dinner time and I need to get this published. Leave a comment and let me know you read me today.
I'm Dreamin' of making new crafty friends...You keep Dreamin' too!
