Good morning Dreamers! It is another late night (early morning?) post from me! Something woke me at 3 a.m. and when I was still awake an hour later, decided to at least be productive! Blogging seems to be the hardest thing to find time to do, with distance learning going on at my house! My 7th grade grandson takes over my design space and my computer 5 days a week now! It may or may not get better soon, as no one in Oklahoma takes it serious. Except my friend Patty! Who I miss!
Yesterday was a beautiful day in Sand Springs. I say it was, but the only time I went outside was to chase my dogs back into the fence! They are quite the escape artists. Hubby was at a friend's house all weekend, so I had time to myself on Saturday. It was a treasure that I filled with crafting, designing Facebook posts and eating nothing but vegetables and 2 small ribs. Heaven!
So Simple Sunday was so simple. I opened my October Paper Pumpkin and made 2 of the cards. Just as they come from the kit. You can watch my video here. I wish more people understood how relaxing it is to put a kit together. Follow their pictures and BOOM! you are finished. And they are so beginner friendly! And for $20, I got an Ink Spot (Just Jade this month!), a set of stamps, die cuts, twine, card bases, envelopes...even dimensionals and glue dots.
I also made an alternative. This set was simple to do that with. Here is my recipe:
- 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Cherry Cobbler cardstock. score at 4 1/4" fold; cut 3 1/4" square
- Cut one card base from kit in half. Trim back piece to 5 1/4" x 4"
- Cut DSP of choice, 5" x 3 3/4" (I used Classic Christmas, an exclusive available until Jan. 4)
- October 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit
