And that brought me to creating an invitation. You can see the one she handed out to her class on the Dreamer!s Klub Facebook page. I promised the girls I would make one using Stampin' Up! Products. So here it is. An easy and sweet card that would lend itself to multiple uses.
I have used one of the first stamp sets I purchased when I joined last year, Pocketful of Sunshine (143719). I stamped the pocket unto Soft Seafoam cardstock.
Next step was to cut it out with the die from the Pocket Framelets (143750). It comes with not only the pocket, but also with 7 other dies! This close up picture shows that in addition to cutting out, it embossed a score line to fold over to make a realistic look and a useable pocket.
Then I added Tear & Tape (138995) to the outside of those flaps, and folded them over with the paper backing still in place. It made a mess when I removed it too soon! I chose the Tear Tape because I needed a strong tape to keep it from pulling off.
Now I removed the backing and centered it on the bottom of a 4x5 1/4 mat cut from the dotted DSP from Twinkle Twinkle Collection (146284). On the pocket I stamped the flowered cake from Hand Delivered (146808) which is a hostess only set. I die cut a Mossy Meadow cake stand using Candles & Confetti Framelets (146319) . With the card front finished, I centered it onto a card base of Soft Sea foam cardstock.
I love how soft it looks! I typed the information about the party and cut it to
2 3/8 x 3 1/2. It slips perfectly into the pocket! The really cool part is that a gift card will also slip into the pocket. So it easily could be changed to any occasion that you needed a quick gift idea.
I hope you enjoyed my picture tutorial. Please share with your friends
I'm Dreamin' of my next creation....you keep Dreamin' too!
